The State of Alaska just completed the largest Cook Inlet oil & gas lease sale in 18 years on May 19th, 2004.  This sale generated strong interest in three regions of the Kenai Peninsula Borough and one region of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.  Lease bid revenues exceeded $2.7 million.  Final bid results will be posted on the Alaska Division of Oil & Gas website, which can be reached directly by clicking www.dog.dnr.state.ak.us/oil/.
